PLAY at Yarrunga aims to support wellbeing through our programs and activities, aligning with key elements such as physical health, emotions, relationships, accomplishments, and self-care practices.
Wellbeing is our ability to feel good and function effectively as we navigate the natural movement that constantly flows between thriving and challenge.
There are lots of elements that contribute to wellbeing – relative physical health, emotions including optimism and hopefulness, close and genuine relationships, celebration of accomplishments, doing things you are good at and enjoy doing, having a sense of meaning and purpose in life, and regular self-care practices. How much of each wellbeing element you need is personal.
PLAY is an initiative of Yarrunga Community Centre to ensure all our programs and activities support these wellbeing elements in some way, and thereby assist people through their various life experiences.
